　　Many people recognize the tune of “Jingle Bells，”one of the most popular Christmas songs around the world. It was written by James Lord Pierpont. According to the Medford (Massachusetts) Historical Society， that town's sleigh races inspired Pierpont. “Jingle Bells” was published as “One Horse Open Sleigh” in 1857.
